Viewing System Default

Hi,
How can I view the system defaults for password length. I see information in the man pages, but, is there a file or parameter that can be displayed that shows the default value. I need this for the QA compliance group.

If it is a trusted system:
SAM
Auditing adn Security
System Security Policies
Password Format Policies

If it's a trusted system look at the file "default" under "/tcb/files/auth/system". That file has a entry for the password length
