Re: VPAR

1) Install the Vpar software
2) read the manuals on Vpar at http://docs.hp.com/hpux/os/11i/index.html#Virtual%20Partitions

Please also try to put your threads into hte correct sub-forums on the ITRC. This one should be under Syatem Administration, not Networking, for example.

Re: VPAR

go to amazon.com and buy the book;

"HP-UX Virtual Partitions" by Poniatowski. Excellent book - the best available documentation on setting up vpars.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Re: VPAR

Hi,

installation of vPars is always done on a running system.

- get a system up & running (install HPUX etc.)
- install vPars software
- setup the vPars partitions
- install HPUX on the additional partitions (from an Ignite server)

regards,
Thierry.
All unix flavours are exactly the same . . . . . . . . . . for end users anyway.
