vtdaemon error?
hi all, it's Friday!
Hope this is a simple one.
I get an error in my vtdaemonlog it shows up for every system boot. error:
Thu Aug 21 14:41:52 2003 pid=15932: STARTUP
Thu Aug 21 14:41:52 2003 pid=15932: NODENAME = c3605
Thu Aug 21 14:41:52 2003 pid=15932: Could not open lan device: /dev/lan0
I tried starting the vtdaemon manually and get the same message to the log. Why wont it start?
It may be related to another issue I have with a 3rd party license script that looks for the mac address to tie the license to. On 10.20 it works, on 11i it does not.
Thanks for any help.
John

Re: vtdaemon error?
Hi
LLA was removed from 10.30 onwards and obsoleted.vtdaemon uses this. HP seems to have forgotten to obsolete vtdaemon.

Re: vtdaemon error?
Steve,
So what does 11i use instead? I neead to get my 3rd party licenses to run on 11i so I can move forward.
