Re: Vuedialog Documentation
I'm not sure exactly what you' re after wrt : vuedialog ? What process, command or action are you referring to or what does it do ? ie is vuedialog the correct name ?
Not trying to be difficult but please give a clearer description, you can email it to : alex_glennie@hp.com
NB I've been supporting CDE & VUE for over 3 years and know where to get most information, so should be able to help.....

Re: Vuedialog Documentation
Ignore my last comments, looks like vuedialog was meant for HP internal use only and never intended for users. It is an internal client for use by Vue only !
As such there are no on-line references to it or man pages : HP does not intend to supply these either.
If a customer wishes to have similar functionality : use xdialog (see man page)
Also under CDE :
Xdialog functionality can be obtained through "dtksh". Dtksh is
A powerful shell with windowing capabilities. You can create
dialogs or entire programs with windowing capabilities, including file
selection boxes, text entry fields, and buttons. See also "man dtksh"
and http://docs.hp.com -> Development Tools & Distributed Computing ->
under CDE section: CDE: Desktop KornShell User's Guide
Hope this helps ... and just go's to show you learn new things everyday ... thanks ! ;)

Re: Vuedialog Documentation
Thank you Alex, I will try to discover more things about dtksh.
The vuelogin seemed a very easy tool and in fact i did some programs with it but it was not supported by Linux and that was something I needed.
Thank you again
