Hi,
I have a problem with one lvol in one HP-UX 11.11 server.
I cannot mount it, and when I pass fsck it outs:
# fsck -F vxfs -o full -y /dev/vgdeister/lvol_n6
vxfs fsck: OLT extent 0 has bad checksum
read of primary OLT failed
vxfs fsck: OLT extent 1 has bad checksum
read of OLT copy failed
vxfs fsck: no valid OLT, cannot continue
file system check failure, aborting ...
hpdp:root /root#
Does anyone could help me?
Thanks a lot!
Carmen.

Solution
It's basically telling you that the Object Library Table is corrupted. This has file system info in it and it looks like both copies from your message are bad.
You can try to see if you can repair it:
fsck -F vxfs -o full /dev/vgdeister/lvol_n6
It is possible that a backline engineer could get it fixed....but then again it might be quicker to just create the newfs again and restore from backup. [hope you have a good backup]
Just a thought,
Rgrds,
Rita
