I am currently running vxfs 3.5 on hpux 11.11 and attempting a to create a file system version 4 layout
-- the problem (it is 1.5 TB) and is saying invalid file
Anyone know what th max size for a filesytem for the above spec ?

I believe based on pea brain molecules (my memory) that that filesystem size is possible.
Smaller seperate filesystems might be more efficient from the i/o standpoint.

the doc says it supports filesystems / file size upto 2GB,

SolutionSupport for Large Files
"VxFS can, theoretically, support files up to two terabytes in size because file system structures are no longer in fixed locations (see Disk Layout). The maximum size tested and supported on HP-UX 11.x systems is one terabyte. Large files are files larger than two gigabytes in size."
