VxVM and EMC PowerPath

On Solaris, after EMC Powerpath is installed the standard defile names like /dev/dsk/cXtYdZsN of the managed disks will be changed to "emcpower1c", "emcpower2c"... Anybody has idea of the absolute path name for "emcpower1c"? Is it /dev/emc/emcpower1c?

On HPUX, if EMC Powerpath is installed, does it also change some disk device file names from /dev/dsk/cXtYdZ to "emcpowerNc"? If so, what may be the default absolute device file name?

Hi,

We're using EMC PowerPath on HP-UX 11i and 11.00, and it doesn't change your disk device names. You will still have your disk devices named as /dev/dsk/cXtYdZ.

I had better mention that we are using the standard VxFS LVM filesystems on HP-UX, and not the newer Veritas VxVM filesystems.

We're using HPUX 11.0 and 11i with EMC Powerpath, and it doesn't change any device names.
