VXVM can be installed from your 11.11 or 11.23 or 11.31 cd

You need a codeword if you want to do mirroring of a disk other than your boot disk.

Online JFS is an add-on feature. VxVM has been part of HP-UX since version 11. I assume by VxVM, you are referring to the Veritas volume manager. You can see what is on your system with:

man vxinfo

No license is needed for the basic VxVM product.
