webmin: No remote servers defined

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have experience with Webmin?

I am using webmin to administrate and monitor our hp-ux boxes. My problem is that I am trying to create a monitor in "System and Server Status" on a HP-UX box to run on a different host but all I get is (No remote servers defined). I have registered a new server in "Webmin Servers Index", but this does not seem to help. This works on Redhat but not the HP-UX box. I have searched through the webmin list and google but can't find anything relating to this problem. Can anyone tell me if I am missing somthing here?

Best regards,
William Watson

Re: webmin: No remote servers defined

Hi,
have to defined the username and password to the remote box?
Doesn't webmin have to be installed on the remote box as well?
What happens if you double-click on the entry to check?

Re: webmin: No remote servers defined

Hello Peter,

Yes, Webmin is installed on all of the servers. I did not see anyplace to set userid or password for the remote server. Where should I be looking to find this?

Re: webmin: No remote servers defined

William,
I dont use the facility on our machines, but
http://www.webmin.com/modules.html#rpc
should be of some help in your setup.
Good Luck,
