websphere configuration

we have HP 9000 K200 HP UX 11.0
We want to configure websphere onthe server

Pre requisite given by the software person is
JDK for HP Ux version 1.8 or higher needs to be available.

I would like to know what is JDK and where can I get it how to put it in the system

Hi,
JDK is java developement kit
JDK 1.8 you need to down load from HP site and install on the system in which you are configuring web sphere.
