What does memlogd do?

Does anyone have an idea of what memlogd does? We have a system where it is
taking runq to one and has a cpu util of 97%.

It does not seem to have a man page.

Re: What does memlogd do?

memlogd is a process that is used by the diagnostics to monitor and log errors
from the memory subsystem.
There could be some memory errors causing the this cpu useage, but there could
also be a patch needed for this.
Unfortunately you do not specify the system nor the Operating System , but as
an example ther eis a patch for the STm (Supprot Tools Manager ) for S800
systems at 10.20 that has the following information:

The memlogd daemon goes into an infinite loop on Nova Class systems
PHSS_17886

Hope that helps
