winbind
We recently received a new server and I am planning on installing winbindd on it. The OS comes with a version of samba:
smbd -V
Version 2.2.12 based HP CIFS Server A.01.11.04
but there is no winbind. Do I need to get a seperate package? If so should I get the latest version of Samba from the HP-UX porting repository?

but there is no winbind. Do I need to get a seperate package? If so should I get the latest version of Samba from the HP-UX porting repository?

Re: winbind
Remove the current one, then download Samba 3 from HP:

Re: winbind
Shalom,
Windbind is an option for Samba 3, which can be found for hpux by searching http://software.hp.com for CIFS/9000
