is Workstation or Server.

Hi....


You can find out your system model by giving command "uname -m".

#uname -m (This will o/p as follows)
9000/8XX or 9000/7XX

9000/8XX- This indicates your system is server

9000/7XX - This indicates your system is Workstation.

All system HP server/Workstation Hardware model is 9000.

8XX series are server.
7XX series are workstation.

You could also use the command:

model

It shows more specific:

9000/859/K220 = HP9000 / K220 = Server
9000/779/C160L = HP9000 / C160L = Workstation

Once you've got the model name, you can even find out what processor it's running by looking in the sched.models file.

It's either in /opt/langtools/lib or /usr/sam/lib/mo
