wtmp file

My wtmp file gets corrupoted and I want to trim it. Does any one knows any tool to trim it for the number of days?
I tried SAM, but since its a nonasci file, it is trimming it to zero. I want to trim it either to some days or to some percent.

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

you will have to convert the file to ascii, edit and reconvert it back then.
