Solutionconfirm vuelogin running and what run-level is default.
confirm you are wanting vue not cde, if not replace vue or vuelogin above with dt or dtlogin etc ...
run /usr/contrib/bin/X11 dr_dt or dr_vue which evers appropriate : act on warning / errors or post here ....
/sbin/init 2
/usr/bin/X11/X :0
result ? any errors to screen or standard out ...
report back results ...

/usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_vue
I expect that your name resolution is bad or the networking is down.
nslookup name
nslookup ip
The name and ip of the machine should give the same results.
