I am trying to install Oracle 10g on my test server running hp-ux 11.11. The install failed due to the below missing software. Is this software part of the core os or do I need to purchase it?

I installed B3901BA - HP C/ANSI C Developer's Bundle for HP-UX 11.i

- problem solved -

I believe this item has to be purchased.

I had it on a depot already, so I just swinstalled from there - let me see where to get it specifically - I'll be back.

It's found on the Applications CD/DVD

Just be aware the ansiC compiler isn't free. It's locked on the media.

These are also in the HPUX developer's kit which is free and is on the application CDs.

Does indeed need a codeword.

There's been a lot of talk around here on if you truly need the ansi C compiler to install 10g.

These aren't on any of our 10g servers but they are probably the free ones that were mentioned:

Elizabeth,

did you verify, if you already have higher version than Jun03 of GQPK installed on your system? In that case, there is an Oracle recommendation (Oracle's log file provides such info), that there is a possibility, that you have newer version of GQPK already installed, and you can safely ignore that failure.
