X25 connection problem
Hi
I have recently migrated from an L class server running 11.00 to a new server (rp3440) running 11.11.
On the new server, the following software is installed.
J2793B B.11.11.01 High Performance X.25 Link software for HP 9000
I can also see the card in ioscan
psi 0 0/2/1/0 j3525 CLAIMED INTERFACE PCI Network (1133b921)
However, when I start x25 on the new system the following is displayed
[x25init] Device /dev/x25_0p1 is not configured in kernel
CAUSE : sam configuration failed.
ACTION : Check sam configuration.
EXIT CODE: 1
[x25init] Device /dev/nli2zcom is not configured in kernel
CAUSE : sam configuration failed.
ACTION : Check sam configuration.
EXIT CODE: 1
Can you advise please what I need to turn on in SAM / configure etc ?
I have also tried to follow the X25 configuration document and the following is shown
x25stat -d /dev/x25_0p1 | more
IXE:
0 connections
0 datagrams in
0 datagrams out
0 NSDUs in

HP-UX E/ISA CONFIGURATION UTILITY
The eisa (/dev/eeprom) is not in the kernel.
You must add the eisa driver to your kernel. Refer to the

Re: X25 connection problem
Oh dear, it would seem after much digging around I didn't need to worry, the engineer that installed this kit did not attach the cable !
