Xerror
Hi all:
I have an error in the /var/dt/Xerror log.
HP-UX 11.00
---
Fatal server error:
Out of memory
error: Server for display terminated unexpecctedly.
---
What happen is the CDE terminate and bring you back the CDE login screen.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
steven

Re: Xerror
The latest Xserver patch is a good idea if not installed. It might not be related to the Xserver, as it could be the Xserver just needed a small amount of memory and couldn't get any.
It would also be worth monitoring your swap space usage (swapinfo -tm) just to be sure.

Re: Xerror
It may also be worth going into SAM : =>DISPLAY => Xserver Config => modify server options and increasing GRMD and the other X memory related parameters eg shared mem transport size.
Incidentally were you running any particular application at the time of the hang ? I'm thinking along the lines of CAD,OpenGl, or Java ?
