about pvcreate, vgcreate, lvcreate

I have seen references to this commands (pvcreate, vgcreate, lvcreate) in several Red Hat Linux articles but I can not find them!

Could you explain me what about this commands?

Theses are commands from Logical Volume Management (LVM) you need to have this installed and enable for a more detail explaination have a look at the following link

P.S. if you do a LVM linux in the search on the top of the forum page you should get rewarded by many a pages about LVM.

For more specific help, you can actually find it in the LVM forums.

LVM was ported from HP-UX and in general the commands work the same way. One exception is mirroring, which must be done with the built in free tools that ship with Red Hat.
