Active active cluster
can anybody tell the exact procedure for configuring active active tomcat cluster in cluster suite. Also what are the roles of Virtual service ip and storage.

Are you speaking about RH Cluster Suite?
AFAIK, it doesn't support active-activbe configuration.

To do this you need to configure and use Piranha.
Its part of the RH 4 cluster suite. Its also available in earlier versions. You can use floating/virtual ip addresses. You don't set them in the system, you set them in the cluster configuration.
There is no shared storage requirement for RH 4, though the product is oriented toward its use and its eaier to keep the data synched under this circumstance.

tell me if there is any mistake. I had installed piranha_gui and its running on port 3636. Then in that i will add two lvs servers (each of 172.16 series)both active(up).Then what could be the virtual ip, can i take any ip or is it a public ip.
