Addind a Management Processor Card to a rx2600 running Enterprise Linux

Hi
The last year a customer bought a Rx2600 without the Management Processor Card.

Now he has bought the MPC ,

My questions are:

I only have to install the card? ,
or also is necessary to rebuild the kernel ?.

I know about that I have to change the configuration in the card to get output by the new MPC.

Just plug the thing in, connect a serial console to it, and configure it.
