adding a printer to redhat 7.1

I added suucessfully a jetdirect printer using printtool. Now when I run lpstat -t I get the follwoing:

#printer myprinter unknown state. enabled since Mar 06 13:55 2002. available
Printer: myprinter@pluto
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
Status: subserver pid 9308 exit status 'JFAIL' at 11:56:16.368

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

The stuff about unknown state is normal as far as I can tell.

Can you do a 'lpc status' and post that, along with the printcap entry for that printer?

Here's the lpc status output:

Printer myprinter@pluto
Printing enabled
Spooling enabled
Jobs 0
Server none
Subserver none
Redirect Status/(Debug)

I was wondering what does the JFAIL message mean?
