amanda config

I am trying to run amanda backup.I think I have it configured correctly, almost. I get an error for the 'amanda' user when I start the backup. I start it as user amanda, however I dont believe I have all the rights. Can anyone help? Server name is mullet.

Yes,

Often Amanda is set up with nos shell, but sometimes you use scripts on backing up, where shell is required.

Check this help page :

And control that you have a shell if you need one, and that you belong to groups that have read rights on raw device you backup...
