						Hello ,
I am having serious performance problems in my apache web server over windows XP . It is extremely slow and I have discovered, using ethereal , that the web server is making netbios name search ... Do you know why ,??? How can I disable apache to make this???

						This is not an apache problem. Its a networking problem. You need to disable netbios on your Windows servers and check your samba/cifs configuration and make sure netbios variables are commented.
Then the netbios traffic should stop.

you need a wins server. because if a wins server in the network windows clients dramaticaly decrease there netbios trafic over network.
