apt-setup is not found in Debian 4.0

apt-setup is not found in Debian 4.0

In etch(Debian 4.0) I am not able to execute the apt-setup.It says that command is not found. please help me in this.

Umm, have you done a search for the file? My thought is that you are not logged in or su'ed to root and the binary is not in your PATH.

The search engine of packages.debian.org says that there is no file named like that in any package of Debian 4.0. So the command simply does not exist.

You're probably following obsolete instructions. The current way to do this is "netselect-apt".
