arp table

How does the system automatically flush the arp table, does it read the timer value from /proc/sys/net/ipv4/neigh/eth0/gc_stale_time file??

# cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/route/gc_interval -----> 60

# cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/route/gc_timeout -----> 300
