AS 3 - Redhat recovery

I have lost the root passwd on this box running AS3. Could someone please let me know the steps to recover root passwd in redhat?

No way to get the password back.

Boot of CD one of the OS and reset the password with the command passwd

boot to single user mode (enter 'linux single' at boot loader prompt)
