Hi guys,
How do i assign quota to mail users.

It changes depending on what MTA you are using.

If using sendmail, I don't believe you can explicitly assign a maximum size of a users mailbox.

What you can do however is to create filesystem quota's for users, and these will constrain the mailbox size (as the user owns their own mail-file).

In sendmail you can limite tha maximum message size by uncommenting and changin the value of

#O MaxMessageSize=1000000

in sendmail.cf and for the rest as Stuart say's you can use user quotas assign to individual user or group.

I would suggest storing users mail in their home directory and imposing a quota on the users local disk space.
