Re: Become Read-only system

Try to unmount file system and run fsck to check for errors.
Possible causes for this is disk or controller failures.

Re: Become Read-only system

Ask your SAN and network support for more information about recent failures. Also check hardware in server - special fiber channel cards used for SAN connection. See for entries in /var/log/messages and other log files.

Re: Become Read-only system

Hi Hangyu,

I have heard similar issues recentl with REDHAT. It's definetly not an SAN issue. I also heard REDHAT is aware of this and working on this issue. Did you talk to them?

All the best

It doesn't sound like it could be this, but what happens when you run;
# mount -v

Re: Become Read-only system

Shalom,

1) Recommend using yum or up2date to fully update your systems.
2) Get the latest SAN drivers installed and make sure the array controller is fully up to date.
