BIOS firmware version
How to check the BIOS firmware Version from command line in Redhat linux for HP servers. Below are the details:
OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 3)
Hardware:

I'm not sure there is an OS command for that.
Perhaps install enhanced iLo or PSP 7.7 and see if they provide a command

I spoke to HP support and they informed that we need to reboot the server and check in BIOS. Thats the only way to get the info.

I would have thought that this line of hpasmcli output:
ROM version : P31 01/28/2004
...would indicate the BIOS firmware version.
That is how it works on our DL585s, DL385s and various DL380 G3s and G4s.
The documentation and the update tools usually refer only to the date part of the version string.

it is not called BIOS here, but this is what you are looking for:
ROM version : P31 01/28/2004
current version is
DL360 G3 (P31) version 2005.03.03 (26 Mar 05)
