boot problems pro liant 380 g4 + fedora core 3
i've installed fc3 on an pro liant 380 g4 (dual cpu, 1 x raid1 36gb, 1 x raid1 72gb) succesfully, but now, the server always tries to boot from c: (and hangs there).
i know that is because the default os-selection is windows, but if i try to change this in the bios, it tells me, that os selection (for supported os) is not necesary on this server. for unsupported os i should try to disable something in the advanced options (i can't remember exactly). i did it, but i still can't boot it ...
any idea's?
regards
reinhard

first - new server work whit all O/S nad you do not need to choose OS from bios.
I think that you miss or misconfig boot manager.
You can start install and make upgrade.

Only boot manager can do it.
Bios only show boot device :) and after that boot manger set partition for boot

Re: boot problems pro liant 380 g4 + fedora core 3
you are right. i re-installed grub and everything works fine.
nevertheless, something is strange. i installed a second server, and this time i had an eye on the grub. i made everything right, but i had the same troubles ...
