Can't find an ext2 filesystem on dev loop0.
Hi,
I am try to install the RHEL5.2 IA64 bit o/s on HP rx2660,The following error messages in your syslog indicate something very weird is
going on with your CD-ROM drive:
<5> Vendor: HL-DT-ST Model: LENOVO BURNER Rev: LI04
<5> Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 00
<4>sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 62x/24x writer dvd-ram cd/rw xa/form2 cdda tray
<7>sr 6:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0
<7>usb-storage: device scan complete
<7>ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 3
<4>Unable to load NLS charset utf8
<4>Unable to load NLS charset utf8
<7>ISO 9660 Extensions: RRIP_1991A
<4>Unable to identify CD-ROM format.
<4>VFS: Can't find an ext2 filesystem on dev loop0.
Please help me to resolve this problem

Shalom,
On this hardware you need to configure an EFI partition before you can boot/install a system.
You seem pretty confident you have IA-64 software but I'd ask how you burned the DVD.
This may be as simple though as bad media.
