can't install Redhat Linux V3 upgrade for Itanium 2 on rx5670
Hello,
I have been trying to install Red Hat linux
for Itanium (V3 upgrade) on a rx5670. When on efi prompt elilo is run the vmlinuz and the initrd are
loaded onto the system, but the system hangs at this point.
I tried to run the hp enablement kit and got the initial menu. When an item was selected vmlinuz was loaded but again the system hung. I was told may be the efi had to be downgraded.
The latest servers can't install RedHat linux.
Any help is really appreciated. I can provide the serial number for the box.
Thanks,
Kallol Biswas

1. Boot up to EFI
2. Insert Linux Enablement Kit
3. run #map -b
4. key in #fs0:
5. elilo
6. You should get Menu
7. Select "Install Linux from Distributor Media"
8. Boot to EFI again
9. Install CD1 from RH Linux CD
10. You should be able to install
