Cannot configure a DNS master

When trying to configure my server as a DNS Master it deletes my /etc/named.conf file and then never starts the server. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Cannot configure a DNS master

Well Phillip,

It might be a good idea to post your /etc/named.conf and at least one of your zone files which are normally kept in /var/named

You're not giving us a lot to go on.

Here is a general guide on how to do it, which might prove somewhat useful to you checking your own work.
