Cannot Reboot
Okay here's my problem, I have a HP6735 pc. I had a power surge to my pc. Yes I had a surge protector. After the power surge the pc would only boot up in the safe mode. After some problem solving I found out the problem was with my anti-virus. I booted up the pc without anti virus and the computer worked normal. So I went out and got Norton Anti-Virus 2002 and installed it. Same problem occurred. I can only use my pc without running the anti virus program. So I was going to try and use the restore program. I get an error message. Cant use that. So I tried to reboot the pc with the restore cd's that came with it. Nothing. It wont let me use the cd's. Nothing happens when use them. I've done everything I can think of. Any help out here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kevin

Re: Cannot Reboot
Kevin,
When you say that it won't let you use the cd's to boot from do you mean that it gives you an error or it just boots from the hard disk?
If it just boots from the hard disk you may want to check your boot sequence in your cmos setup. Make sure that it puts cdrom before your hard drive.
If it gives you an error, post the error message so we can have something to go from.
Thanks.
