Our UNIX server network card is 100M ethernet, if our local area network change from 10M to 100M , does it need to make any setting to enable 100M speed?

Re: Change network card setting
Hello!
What UNIX version you are running?
Have a look at the config file for your lancard, in most cases in /etc/rc.config.d/...
for example on HP-UX 11.0 the configuration file for HP 100Mb is called hpbase100conf
In this file have a look at the HP_BASE100_SPEED. If it is set to AUTO_ON, the speed is automatically detectet when the network starts up. In this case you only have to restart your network. Otherwise - if the speed is fix configured, you must change it.
