Compressed printing to HP LaserJets
Hi All,
Is there an easy way to get a file to print
compressed from linux to an hp laser jet.
I'm running RedHat Advance Server 2.1
which uses LPRng spool system.
None of the command line options seem to work.
I've spent some time out on linuxprinting.org and set up the foomatic-rip driver but still
no luck.
I have to imagine that this is possible and
I'm just missing something silly.
Is there anyone out there that has gotten this
to work. If so, can you send me the recipe so
I can duplicate the setup on my system.
Right now the only way it seems to work for
me is if I append the compressed control codes to the beginning of the file.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
