Creative Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital
I'm going to buy a Creative Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital sound card. Could you confirm me its FULL compatibility with linux? (FULL means audio output/input/midi/sampling etc...)
Hardware-HOWTO doesn't speak about this specific model, but a general Sound Blaster support.
thanks a lot
Claudio

Re: Creative Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital
Claudio,
I'm not a super sound creator, but this card seems to be supported under Redhat 9.0.
Check at the hardware compatibility list at :
http://www.redhat.com/software/linux/technical/hcl/
BTW, sound blaster is the library, as you say it is just a generic term as OpenGL can be for graphics, even if it's linked to a sound card maker. Their lib worked so well that it became a standard.
