Debian and Systems Insight Manager
I have a machine running Debian 3.0R2 (Woody) and would like to make it a Systems Insight Manager server. Looking at the downloads it seems that SIM is only available for:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 with update 1
SuSE SLES 8.0 (based on United Linux 1.0 kernel)
Does anyone know if its possible to install SIM on Debian or if HP will release a package for Debian.
Thanks

Re: Debian and Systems Insight Manager
You may want to work about it but I think it's wasted time, because a lot of things may change while you're working.
Anyway you could
1) alienize hp rpms
2) recompile a brand new kernel using hp-compliant module sources
3) search for errors.
maybe some hp responsible may tell if I'm wrong
Peace, R.
