Debian (Lenny) Install - Network Detect
Hi,
I'm a bit green with Linux and am having an issue installing Debian 5 onto a ML370G6. It's not detecting the network card, which is an HP NC375i Intg Quad Port Multifunction adapter.
I can't find a Debian driver for this network adapter anywhere.
I am using the latest install disk from the Debian website.
There is a Red Hat driver on the HP site, is there any way of adapting this for Debian?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, first post.:)

Re: Debian (Lenny) Install - Network Detect
Try to install the testing version -- "squeeze".
Debian is not porting new drivers into stable version (like redhat).

Re: Debian (Lenny) Install - Network Detect
Shalom,
New hardware generally requires up to date versions of Linux.
Also, see HP's website, if Linux is supported on the system at all, they will have network drivers for Linux.

Re: Debian (Lenny) Install - Network Detect
Thanks for the responses. :)
I ended up upgrading the Kernel to 2.6.32. The card now detects fine.
