Determine bit architecture when OS is down

Is there a way to determine if a PA-RISC server supports 32 bit and/or 64 bit in the offline environment (e.g. PDC, or ODE). We are trying to give our TIO workflow script the ability to determine what type of OS was resident prior to the workflow's current Ignite process.

Re: Determine bit architecture when OS is down

Shalom,

Yes,

Physically look at the server and take the model number and do a search of http://docs.hp.com

If the system has a LAN console, connecting to that may provide data, put probably not without attempting to run the system.

Most PA-RISC hardware runs 64 bit by default and you have to go back a few years to find dual 32/64 bit systems. If you happen to have such a system there is no way to determine the bit architechure without firing it up.

The good news is if you have any printed reports from the system they may also have this information.
