I have one linux workstation and it have frour USB ports .. Can somebody tell me the
the device files for this ports ...
Also how can I sent one file to one of this USB ports

What this means is that the devices you plug into your USB ports require their own drivers which create their device nodes as they detect it being plugged in.
What device are you plugging into the USB bus to transfer the file to/from/across ?

The printer is higher end laser jet printer
and they want to test the printer sing the usb port.. Can you please tell me which is the best method

It is HP laser jet 4050 .. Is there any default driver for hP laser jet printers...

Normally first USB printer will be mapped to "/dev/usb/lp0" when system detected.
And if you config your printer with RH's GUI tool, you can find a list of most of HP Laserjet Printers.

You can try to cat a text file to "/dev/usb/lp0", but I not sure it will print correctly.
