Re: device files for USB ports

There are no device files which directly relate to the USB ports, as each USB port can have multiple devices attached to it.

What this means is that the devices you plug into your USB ports require their own drivers which create their device nodes as they detect it being plugged in.

What device are you plugging into the USB bus to transfer the file to/from/across ?

Re: device files for USB ports

What sort of printer?

There is no way to directly dump, without some sort of low-level driver.

Re: device files for USB ports

Hi~

Normally first USB printer will be mapped to "/dev/usb/lp0" when system detected.

And if you config your printer with RH's GUI tool, you can find a list of most of HP Laserjet Printers.

Re: device files for USB ports

Hi~

You can try to cat a text file to "/dev/usb/lp0", but I not sure it will print correctly.
