display driver

Hi,

i have a p4 machine with display card as per windows intel 82845G graphics controller. i have installed Redhat AS2.1 kernel 2.4.9-e.3.

I tried installaing drivers which intel gives, but they are for redhat 8.

does anyone tried bringing X with similar configation machine??? please suggest

Suggestion: Try a newer distribution. It may have a larger hardware database.

The drivers for Red hat 7.x might work. This is because AS 2.1 is based on Red Hat 7.x
