Do you know any free operating system which may install over HP 9000 E35 series 800 server ?

I guess Linux/PA could be a good choice, but I never tried to install it on E35. May be not supported because using too old hardware.

To download the ISOs, here is a list of mirrors but very few of them are regularly updated :

I'm not famaliar with the E35, but I've got a H50 at home and it is too old for Linux.

Hi there.
Linux should be able to do it.
You can check it on Suse's URL in the hardware database.
Linux can be run even on 386 intel computers.
It not a speed king, but it works.

I successfully installed linux/pa-risc (debian "woody") on an E55 (i believe the only difference between e55 and e35 is the processor speed)... about 9 months ago.

No problems if you don't need gui... works great as a webserver.... i have since sold the e55 and bought a c240 on ebay for $225 (about 6 months ago)... works great with linux also...
