Dynamic Resource Re-Allocations - Memory and CPU - How Robust?
First, what Liux Virtualisation Solution do you use? I know Linux as the Virtualisation Host has the richest virtualisation.
2nd: As a Virtualzied OS - Is Linux stable in a highly dynamic resource environment -- meaning CPUs and Memory being added or removed online?

Re: Dynamic Resource Re-Allocations - Memory and CPU - How Robust?
Shalom,
1)
I have used the following.
KVM
Xen
SunVirtualBox(To run Solaris and android)
All have their advantages and disadvantages.
2) In a box with enough CPU's they can be moved around pretty well in the above environments. Its not as slick as HPVM, but with the right add on tools can be done via GUI or command line.

Re: Dynamic Resource Re-Allocations - Memory and CPU - How Robust?
We currently use Xen virtualization but not for mission critical environments and DR operations are not done. It performs very well.
We also have some Linux guest on Vmware ESX servers. We do have performance problems also some time keeping problems even with NTP on this environment.
And also, consider the following information:
