Re: EMC power path in rhel5
hi,
check for example this link :
http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2009/09/how-to-install-and-configure-emc-powerpath-on-linux/
http://sundar5.wordpress.com/2010/01/22/multipath/
your procedure seems to be ok,
i followed the offcial admin guide for the installation ( from EMC ) installed on HP-UX / RHEL / Centos, without any problem.

Re: EMC power path in rhel5
ok.but after creatng mount points i m going to restart the server in that time server is not booting..
before restarting the server i made changes in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf file
commented the following line:
# filter = [ "a/.*/" ]
and added the below line:
filter = [ "a/c0d0.*/", "a/emcpower.*/", "r/.*/" ]
so what was the issue?i hope emcpower path file is not read by while server booting time.
please help me to reslove the issue.

Re: EMC power path in rhel5
Did you not fix this already in an earlier Post good sir?
You were alerdy told to leave your default Filter on and work your way to customising a proper LVM filter to works for you.
