Hello,
Is there any tool to view and even extract files from RPM on windows?
I need it, because I'm building RPM for RedHat , I have srouces but no man. I found RPM for Mandrake and I want to extract only the man page from there ....
Is there anyway to do it on windows or I must open it on linux?
I'm talking about lshw utility, so if anyone have man page, I'll be very glad to get it ;-)
Thanx

Hi,
It is possible to use rpm from windows.
I am using it through cygwin.
Check this:
http://www.cygwin.com/
http://www.lns.cornell.edu/public/COMP/cygwin/cyg_inst_net.html
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cygwin-rpm/
Frank.

Re: Explore RPM in Windows
There's a native Windows application named 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) that's licensed under the LGPL. Unless I'm badly mistaken, you can use 7zip to open up and navigate the RPM similar to the way WinZip or PKZip opens up ZIP files.
7zip handles all of the following formats: 7z (it's own format), ZIP, CAB, RAR, ARJ, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, CPIO, RPM and DEB.
