FC 3 modem drivers

Hi,

I recently switched from Redhat 8 to Fedora 3. I don't see any riptide drivers for fedora 3 on the linuxant website, only one for fedora 1 using kernel 2.4. As Fedora 3 uses kernel 2.6 where can I find the proper drivers for Fedora 3? thanks

Re: FC 3 modem drivers

The 2.4 drivers might work. Did you try that?

Failing that if its a winmodem, try this site:"

http://www.linmodems.org

If its not, see the manufacturer.

Re: FC 3 modem drivers

Maybe you won't like this answer, but, as you know the Linux versions are released very quickly. You will need to find the drivers every time that you upgrade you release or kernel.

Is better if you buy an external serial modem, you won't have to deal with modems drivers/modules anymore.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Which external drivers do you recommend?

Re: FC 3 modem drivers

Another question: without the riptide driver would audio work properly in FC3? ( the luxant hcf modem driver would not work without it).
