fedora 9 installation!!
hello All,
I am trying to install Fedora 9 on my SOny vaio laptop using USB bootable. I have an ISO image of fedora 9 on my local hard drive. I have done the following in order to install it and i failed in a style: -
1> Created a bootable USB using unetbootin
2> Rebooted the system and booted using USB.
3> I selected install and upgrade from the menu
4> On one screen it asks me to provide Disk driver image.
Here i am stuck. At this point selected many images (available in bootable USB, such as boot.iso, some .img extension file) but the installer failed with "Abnormal programe termination".
On the second attempt,
I saved my original fedora 9 iso image (3.3GB) in another USB (other than the bootable) and booted again. This time on that screen i selected the fedora 9 iso image, and it again failed.
Please suggest how to do that considering the fact that my DVD drive is not working.
Regards,
Amit

Re: fedora 9 installation!!
Shalom,
To areas:
Put the iso image on a network and share it with NFS, or expand it with mount -o loop name.iso /directory and set up an ftp or http install point.
Then use the write formula to create a proper install image for usb.
