FTP problem from fedora core 5 linux

Hi Guys

I have a ftp problem. I have a two linux server one is Fedora Core 5.0 and another is RHL 9.0.

I am trying to ftp from RHL9.0 then i am getting following connectivity.

FTP
Connected to
220 Service ready
Name (IP:sysadmin):

BUT when i am trying from FC5 i am getting following error.

FTP
220 Service Ready
500 Unsupported command
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type
Name (10.133.123.18:root):

Can you please guide me what could be the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Re: FTP problem from fedora core 5 linux

A guess is that the FTP client on FC5 is trying to do an AUTH KERBEROS_V4 after establishing the connection and the remote system does not support the AUTH command. I don't know why the remote system closes the connection, or how to configure the FTP client on FC5 so that it doesn't try Kerberos authentication automatically.
